I have this habit of overusing things that looked good only once. This photo has the same colour adjustment and softening effect which I applied to Zange's Gaze - it's an effect that seems to only work with darker colours. Needless to say, I don't think it works too well in this shot.
I've been using a lot of photo manipulation in my recent photos, I think I need to stop and get back to making the camera do the magic.
I sometimes have to fix balances to make it look alright because my lighting is questionable at times.
Other than that, I don't really do much about making it.. "pop" out of the screen.
